MDMFA Design Challenges
Design challenges are various tasks and assignments used to test knowledge of different software applications throughout each course. Each challenge has its own problem that must be conquered.
MDM565 DESIGN CHALLENGE 1.5
ORIGINAL
For this assignment the task was to explore typography and come up with different font choices for the concept of Earth Day.
The first step in finding the correct font types was researching different attributes that came about when thinking of Earth Day. This led to the selection of something basic such as Earth Tone to something complex like InsideFlower.
Looking back at the examples for Fourth of July, It was evident that each design element linked the font with some type of holiday element. The middle uses script from the 1700's while the right used fireworks.
As a result of the Fourth of July images, each image was curated to symbolize an element of the Earth. The left uses the words in tree form while the middle makes a globe.
MDM565 2.5 Design Challenge
For this assignment, the task was to combine text and images together to curate a proper image of Earth Day. The first choice would be picking proper background to lay elements on top of. Next, finding images that fit with Earth the most such as bugs, plants, and water. Lastly, combining those images in the best way so that It flows together.
MDM555 1.6 Design Challenge
During this assignment, the task was to create a headline for Lucky Dog Rescue Orlando. Coming up with a proper headline and call to action would be essential in gaining the proper target audience and get people to donate.
MDM555 3.6 Design Challenge
In this weeks assignment, the task was to create and render a video for Lucky Dog Rescue Orlando that properly advertised and promoted the seeking of donations for the organization.
